AppValidate Terms of Service
Last updated 14 July 2026
These Terms govern your use of AppValidate. The short version: AppValidate is a $29 one-off report that validates a product idea before you build it. You pay once, we generate the report and email you a private link, and the report is a digital product delivered to you straight away. Because of that, purchases are generally non-refundable (see our Refund Policy). We provide the report to help your thinking, not as a guarantee of any outcome, and disputes are resolved under Indian law in Mumbai. Read the full Terms below for the binding detail.
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of AppValidate (the "Service"), operated by AfterLaunch Technologies ("we", "us", or "our"). AppValidate is served at appvalidate.io.
By accessing, buying, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation, and "you" refers to both you personally and the organisation.
2. What the Service is
AppValidate is a one-off, pre-launch idea-validation report. You describe your product idea and who it is for, we research it, and about five minutes later we email you a private link to a report. The report covers:
- Demand: the real search questions and search volumes around the idea
- Competition: who already serves the niche and how contested it is
- AI answer landscape: what tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews already recommend for the need
- Community pain: what people on Reddit and Hacker News say about the problem, with links
- A verdict: a scored recommendation with a suggested angle
- A build contract: a practical stack, scope, and launch plan you can hand to a developer or an AI builder
The Service is provided "as is". It is research and analysis to inform your own decision. It is not investment, legal, financial, or professional advice, and it does not promise that your idea will succeed.
We continuously improve the Service, so specific sections, methods, and features may be added, changed, or removed over time.
3. Buying a report
3.1 Price and payment
A report costs $29, a one-off charge. There is no subscription and nothing auto-renews. Prices are in USD unless stated otherwise and are shown before you pay.
We bill through Dodo Payments, which acts as our merchant of record. This means Dodo Payments processes the payment, handles VAT, GST, and sales tax where applicable, and issues the receipt on our behalf. By paying, you accept the Dodo Payments Buyer Terms in addition to these Terms. We never see or store your full card details.
You can preview an idea for free before you pay: AppValidate offers a free teaser that shows a community peek with no email and no payment. The teaser is deliberately limited and is not the full report.
3.2 Re-runs and packs
Every paid report includes one free re-run so you can adjust the idea and try again. Further re-runs are either charged one-off at the report price, or you can buy a small pack of re-runs at a flat price shown at checkout. A pack funds the current re-run immediately and banks the rest for later; banked re-runs stay attached to the report they were bought against.
3.3 Delivery
A report is a digital product. Once your payment succeeds we begin generating the report and deliver it as a private link by email, usually within a few minutes. Access to the report is by possession of that private link. Anyone you forward the link to can read the report, so treat it as you would any private URL.
If a report genuinely fails to generate, we will put it right, including a full refund of that report. See our Refund Policy and contact hello@appvalidate.io.
4. Optional sign-in
You do not need an account to buy or read a report. As a convenience, you can sign in with the email address you paid with to see the reports you have bought in one place. Signing in is a magic link sent to that address; it never charges you and never changes how the Service works. We only ever list reports that have been paid for.
5. Acceptable use
When using the Service, you agree not to:
- Submit content that infringes on others' intellectual property or rights
- Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm others
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract our source code
- Bypass or circumvent any access controls or rate limits
- Submit malicious content such as viruses or malware
- Resell or redistribute access to the Service without our written permission
- Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service in bulk
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate access where these terms are broken, and to withhold a refund in cases of fraud or abuse.
6. Content and intellectual property
6.1 Your input
You keep ownership of what you submit (your idea description, target audience, competitor names, and any notes). By submitting it, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, store, and process that input for the purpose of producing your report. This licence ends when we delete your data.
6.2 Your report
The report we generate for you is yours to use. You may read it, share the link, and act on it as you see fit. We make no claim of ownership over the report delivered to you. However:
- We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of the research or the AI-generated analysis
- Search volumes, competitor data, and AI-answer results are point-in-time snapshots that change
- You are responsible for your own decisions made on the basis of the report
6.3 Our intellectual property
The Service itself (its code, design, branding, and methods) is owned by us. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property beyond using the Service as intended.
7. AI-generated content
The report is produced with AI and third-party data sources. You acknowledge that:
- AI may produce errors, gaps, or fabricated information ("hallucinations")
- You should sanity-check the findings before you rely on them
- We make no guarantees about accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any purpose
- The verdict and the build contract are opinions to inform your thinking, not instructions or promises of a result
We ground the report in real search and community data and use quality checks to reduce errors, but we cannot guarantee perfect output.
8. Refunds
AppValidate is a digital product delivered immediately, so purchases are generally non-refundable. If something went genuinely wrong (for example a report that failed to generate), contact us and we will make it right. Our full stance is set out in the Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
9. Service availability
We aim for high availability but make no guarantees. The Service may be unavailable due to maintenance, third-party outages, force majeure, or other unforeseen circumstances. If a purchased report cannot be produced because of an outage, we will complete it when service resumes or refund it.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY OF AI-GENERATED CONTENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:
- The report will produce any specific business result
- Your idea will succeed, or fail, as the verdict suggests
- The research will surface every relevant competitor, search term, or discussion
- The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
You use the Service and act on the report at your own risk.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR:
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Lost profits, lost data, or business interruption
- Any decision you make on the basis of the report
- Damages exceeding the amount you paid us for the report in question
These limitations apply even if we knew of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; in those, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AfterLaunch Technologies from claims arising out of your use of the Service in violation of these Terms, the input you submit, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
Before any formal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt good-faith informal resolution by email at hello@appvalidate.io. If that fails, disputes shall be finally resolved by arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (India), seated in Mumbai, before a sole arbitrator, conducted in English. Subject to the arbitration provisions, the courts at Mumbai, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
Nothing in this section limits non-waivable consumer-protection rights you may have under the law of your own jurisdiction.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The version in force is the one published here when you buy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date above. If you do not accept a change, stop using the Service.
15. Contact
